Starting over again - I'm hopeful
After I lost 33 pounds and gained 13 pounds of it back, my goal of losing 50 pounds by February 2017, didn't seem doable. I put the pounds back on by giving into carb cravings, eating fast food and take out and sitting at home and watching TV. Man, the tons came back on so fast!
But, and I have a big one, a couple of good things have happened. For one, the fast food and take out aren't tasting that yummy to me any more. My cravings seem to have subsided, so I'm going to go back to eating better. Going to start planning meals and cooking my own food again and eating only when I'm hungry. I can do that.
And for two, I’ve been going to a gym and seeing a personal trainer twice a week. My routine goes like this: I start out by walking on a treadmill for 15 minutes to warm up, then Becky (my sweet friend and trainer) has me working out on weight machines and also working with free weights, and at last, I ride a bike for 15 minutes.
Before the workout, during the workout and after the workout, I hurt. I am in a continual, constant, forever state of hurt, and it’s fantastic! I’m doing something good for my body again, and it’s cool to have Becky in my corner cheering for me and forcing me to do exercises that I would never do on my own.
I now go around saying things like, “My personal trainer said blah blah blah.” and “I’m going to the gym after work.” Kind of makes me feel a part of something. Something being, people who go around saying they have a personal trainer and that they’re going to the gym after work.
It's all going to be fine. Remember: Never give up, there's always hope. If you need help, ask for it. And don't be so hard on yourself.
I love you people!
